Chris Lawson is an accomplished CMO with 20 years’ experience. A proven track record of transforming and growing businesses. He has expertise in digital marketing, direct to consumer strategies, brand/product management and has worked in a range of industries from tech start up to global media organisations, both B2C and B2B.
Chris was one of the first digital marketing pioneers at Bauer Media developing early days SEO, online subscription and email marketing. The mastermind behind the launch of Absolute Radio in the UK and in 2010 joined The Guardian as Content Sales & Marketing Director responsible for £80m of content revenue, marketing and brand strategy.
After increasing global subscriptions by 300% he moved on to Inspired Entertainment Inc. A high growth PE backed gaming tech company, taking an international role and setting up product management and marketing teams in China, South America and Europe. Followed by Virgin Wines as a board director to help set the PE backed company on a path for growth.
Chris founded Moreno-Marketing in 2018 providing a “Virtual CMO on tap, without the overhead.” Projects include a successful partnership between Freeformers and Facebook to train 75,000 millennials in digital skills across six countries, a Fin-tech B2C and B2B proposition, and with start-ups, non for profit and private equity turn around. Moreno-Marketing provides Commercial Marketing and Sales Audit and follow up high impact support.
